The Anatomy of a Quiet Home

Silence is the most expensive material in a luxury residence — and the only one you cannot retrofit.

Ask any collector of homes what separates a good apartment from a great one and the answer is rarely marble. It is acoustics.

A genuinely quiet home is the outcome of at least six decisions taken before construction: slab thickness, floating floor assemblies, decoupled service shafts, glazing laminate, door seals and the location of the lift core relative to bedrooms.

Not one of these can be corrected after handover. When we walk a show residence with a client, we bring a decibel meter. It has ended more conversations than any brochure ever has.
